We are always looking for motivated and committed men to help us achieve our goals. If you, or someone you know, are interested in helping us develop the character and self-image of young men by encouraging them to make positive C.H.O.I.C.E.S., the following volunteer opportunities exist:
- Join the Well-Suited for Manhood program
- Serve as a guest speaker during program events and meetings
- Sign up to be a Club Advisor
Becoming a Club Advisor
The Young Men of Character Club recruit volunteers from the community to serve as Club Advisors who are eager to support middle school boys in the development of their character and self-image.
5th and 6th grade boys are referred to the club by teachers and administrators for a variety of reasons, ranging from issues with low-self-esteem or just simply feeling isolated or not being engaged in school.
What is a Club Advisor?
A Club Advisor is a male who, along with junior and senior male athletes and school officials, provides 5th and 6th grade boys with support, guidance and encouragement. Club Advisors are good listeners who seek to understand the challenges of 5th and 6th grade boys.
What does a Club Advisor do?
A Club Advisor, through positive role modeling, encourages positive C.H.O.I.C.E.S.
